Easter Sunday or Resurrection Day has one main purpose. That purpose is to remember and celebrate. As we read in Matthew’s Gospel from Chapter 28, we see the cross was not the end of the story, but the beginning. Jesus death on the cross was the payment for the sin, but the resurrection was the receipt. Without a receipt you cannot prove your debt has been paid. Resurrection Sunday is our receipt!
